On December 24th, 1950, the United States military conducted "The Hungnam Evacuation," a boatlift of refugee northern Koreans.  My grandmother, mother, uncle and several members of extended family were fortunate to find a place on the last ship.  My grandfather, however, was left on the dock as there was no more room.

This is a documentary of my grandmother's flight from North Korea and the unfortunate sacrifices she had to make to ensure her children's safety.
